There are many authentic yoga methods, but all share one goal: connecting the individual self with the supreme self. One of those methods is kirtan, an ancient yet vibrant way to meditate by combining mantra chanting and music (and sometimes even dance).

Chanting and hearing divine sounds elevates our consciousness and brings about experiences of genuine happiness free from anxiety and stress. Besides, sacred writings especially recommend kirtan as most suitable for our present age. At Kirtan Raga we’ve taken this spiritual practice to heart and are eager to share it with others.

Kirtan Raga is an educational project dedicated to sharing kirtan-related knowledge and practices. We promote kirtan through websites, publications, and educational programs, and envision organizing special events, developing services such as apps to locate kirtan events near you, and creating music albums and other products.
